Join NCCAkron’s Virtual Dance Club!
Based on our in-person Dance Club that occurred in 2018, VDC will continue the goal of cultivating curiosity in individuals who have little to no experience with dance.
Attend a virtual event to watch dance online together, and participate in an informal discussion that will deepen your own engagement and understanding of the art form and develop your critical lens.
Enrollment for our August dates is now open! These sessions are open to both return guests and first-timers. August 13 & 14 are a repeat of our July 9 & 10 session, with curation by Akron choreographer Dominic Moore-Dunson; August 27 & 28 are curated by Achinta McDaniel of Blue13 Dance Company (Los Angeles, CA).

• Must be 18 years and older.
• Must have access to a computer with live-stream and video-conferencing capability (we’ll be using Zoom to chat with one another).
• All comfort levels with dance are welcome, but priority will be given to people who do not engage with dance very often.
Participation is free, but space is limited in order to keep the conversations manageable and meaningful.
Online enrollment runs until 10pm on the Tuesday before the event, or until all slots are filled.
