Dancing Lab: Immersive Spaces & Alternate Places | 2024–2025

This year-long lab brought artists and their technical collaborators together in three cities–Miami, Houston, and Akron–to explore immersive digital exhibitions and reflect on whether these experiences are the next frontier for dance performance.

Artists Raphael Xavier (Philadelphia, PA) and Art Bridgman and Myrna Packer of Bridgman|Packer Dance (Valley Cottage, NY) are known for their work in video and incorporating multimedia practices. Hanna Ali (Miami, FL), a spatial designer, architect, and YoungArts alum, also joined this cohort.
