The National Center for Choreography–Akron (NCCAkron) is thrilled to celebrate 10 years as a national hub for dance research and development: an incubator for artists and a hyperagent for the national dance field.
NCCAkron has redefined what it means to support artists—working with 800+ choreographers from 100 U.S. cities as they explore, experiment, and shape the future of the art form.
This milestone anniversary launches an 18-month celebration filled with public events, research and development residencies, and national as well as regional convenings.

Season 7 of Inside the Dancer’s Studio Podcast Drops Summer 2026
With six seasons and 52 episodes to date, Inside the Dancer’s Studio is an NCCAkron podcast that brings listeners into the creative process and navigating an artistic life.
Hosted by NCCAkron’s Executive/Artistic Director Christy Bolingbroke who poses a set series of questions about craft, process, and perseverance. This short-form podcast documents and archives the artists who engage in various NCCAkron research and development activities.
Great for the creatively curious and open-minded as well as making an excellent addition to dance syllabi across higher education to hear directly from today's working artists.
