At NCCAkron, we elevate the voices of artists through documentation, archiving, writing, and public conversation. We seek to expand the narratives of dance in a way that is geographically equitable, culturally holistic, and accessible - all in an effort to advocate for dance as a more central part of U.S. culture.
The NCCAkron, in partnership with The University of Akron Press, began publishing their NCCAkron Series in Dance in Fall 2021.
NCCAkron's first podcast, Inside the Dancer's Studio, launched in May 2021. How People Move People followed in February 2023.
NCCAkron publishes essays to share ideas, spark thoughtful discussion, and build credibility around the topics that matter to its audience.
